Sean Bosse

Owner

I was born and raised on a family-owned private game ranch in KwaZulu Natal. I have always been passionate about conservation and went on to obtain a degree in Nature Conservation. After working for a private conservation company I joined the family business where we developed a cattle farm into a successful game farm. Unfortunately, the farms were later claimed by the government under the national land claims act. I bought Helicon in 2013 and we have since moved the company from Harrismith to Bloemfontein as this allows us to better service the entire country.
It is great to lead and work together with a team of experienced professionals

Tokman Carstens

FIELD OPERATION MANAGER

The wildlife industry has always been my passion since I was a young boy. I would cling to my father as they chased after the game. In 2003 I started my profession as a mass game capturer. I have captured game in countries such as Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Angola and Dubai with some of the best known veterinarians in the industry. Game capture has always been my passion and it flows through the blood in my veins.

My position at Helicon as field manager includes everything that goes along with the mass capture of game. This includes the design of the boma and how it should be build according to the wind and other factors such as where the game cannot spot it, orders to the men who build the boma and close the curtains during the capture, and taking care of any game that must be given tranquilizers before being loaded into the trucks. I also have a lot of experience in netgun work.
